My golf cart charger stopped working...

Miscellaneous
One of the most common questions here in the dealership is "why has my golf cart charger stopped working"? The story usually goes something like this. I left my golf cart sitting for a few months. I got my golf cart back out to ride it and I plugged the charger in. When I did, nothing happened... Is my charger bad? It worked the last time I used it but now its not working. If this sounds like what is happening to you then we are here to tell you how to fix it.
The cause
When this happens, the reason why the charger won’t kick on is because the battery voltage has dropped too low. When the voltage is too low, your charger does not recognize that you have plugged it in. For a 48 volt cart, your batteries need to have a charge of at least 38 volts in order for your charger to turn on. For a 36 volt cart your batteries need to have a charge of at least 25 volts.

What if I didn’t leave my golf cart sitting?
If you didn’t leave your golf cart sitting but your charger stopped working then most likely your charger is bad. The best way to make sure it is your charger that is bad is to plug your charger into a different golf cart to see if it works on that golf cart. If it didn’t work on that golf cart either your charger is most likely bad. Get the best prices on golf cart charger here! If it does work on that cart please try following the steps above.
